AMRITSAR, JULY 31: In what could be termed as another feather in the cap of Amandeep Healthcare Private Limited (AHPL), Balbir Singh Sidhu, Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Labour, Punjab, conferred the Pillars of Medical Science Awards.

Specialist in Sports and Ligament Injury and Dr Sudhanshu Bansal, Consultant, Paediatric Orthopaedics, for their noteworthy achievements in the field of medical science, in a ceremony held in Chandigarh.
There are three categories for the award that comprises a certificate and gold medal – Emerging (0-10 years), Veteran (10-25 years) and Pillars Category (25 plus years). The awardees were shortlisted for the honors by a jury including Atul Kumar Nasa, Head of Office, Controlling and Licensing Authority, Deputy Drugs Controller, Dr Nitin Malik, Registrar, Ambedkar University, Delhi and Dr Raj Kanwar Yadav, Department of Nephrology, AIIMS, on the basis of academics, total years of experience, current work position, memberships, CSR activities, contributions to the medical field and research / publications if any.
