Director - Paediatric Surgery
Dr Harparkash Singh Miglani is a prominent Paediatric Surgeon practising at Amandeep Medicity, Amritsar. He achieved his Paediatric Surgery training and qualification (MCh Paed. Surg.) from the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, in 1995. Further, he qualified for the DNB ( Paediatric Surgery) in 1996.
Dr Miglani's pursuit of excellence pushed him to get dedicated training as a visiting fellow in Paediatric Minimal Access Surgery from centres of excellence in Coimbatore, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and New Delhi to enhance his skills in MAS.
He was awarded two prestigious fellowships, the Ethicon Travel Fellowship and the Karl Storz visiting Professor Fellowship by the Indian Association of Paediatric Surgeons.
Dr Harparkash started the Department of Paediatric Surgery at Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Amritsar, where he worked for nearly 14 years, after which he started his own private practice.
Currently, he is the Director of Paediatric Surgery at Amandeep Medicity, Amritsar.
Dr Miglani has deep academic interests and has presented numerous research papers at National and International Conferences. He has attended more than 80 national and international conferences and as operating faculty in several Live Operative workshops.
He has several publications in international and national journals to his credit.
Dr Harparkash Miglani is a life member and fellow of various prestigious scientific bodies. These include the Indian Association of Paediatric Surgeons, Association of Paediatric Surgical Oncology, Society of Paediatric Urology, the Indian Association of Paediatrics, IMA (Indian Medical Association), the Paediatric Endo Surgeons of India (PESI), and SELSI (Society of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of India), etc.
He has also served as Chairman, Secretary and Executive Member of the governing bodies of these associations at different points in time. His areas of interest are Paediatric Laparoscopic Surgery, Paediatric Urology, Hypospadias Surgery and Neonatal Surgery.
