Dr. Rajeev Vohra, who graduated from the Govt. Medical College Amritsar in 1985, completed his MS in Orthopaedics in 1990. He is a qualified senior consultant with vast experience in orthopaedics and specialises in foot & ankle and bone cancer surgery. He completed his DNB (Ortho) in 1993, MNAMS in 1997 and received the fellowship in joint replacement at PGIMER Chandigarh in 1993. Dr. Vohra started his career as a senior resident at Christian Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana and taught DNB candidates as well as guided their thesis. He further worked at Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Hospital, Ludhiana, from 1991 to 1997, first as a senior resident and then consultant.
He was also awarded a fellowship in orthopaedic oncology at Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham, UK, in 1996 and in the same year, Dr. Vohra was awarded young scientist status in order to attend and present papers at SICOT, Amsterdam. In 1997, he was awarded an International career technology award to work on endoprosthetic replacement in musculoskeletal tumours at Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham, UK. In 2000, he received AO fellowship status in Traumatology from the University of Essen. In addition to these achievements, Vohra has also presented papers at the national, north zone and state conferences and has attended workshops and symposia. Since 2009 he has been working at Amandeep Hospital as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon.
