Smile train Story – Mishthi

But the happiness of both the parents went half when they saw the face of one of their daughter Mishthi that was born with the cleft of the lip and palate. They kept on giving all the love and care to both of their daughters but they were very apprehensive about the future of Mishthi.

As they lived in a hilly area medical facilities were not nearby them. Time kept on passing and 6 months elapsed one fine day Indersingh met Jimeet his friend from nearby village and discussed his daughters problem with him, Jimeet told him that his daughter Prakriti was also born with cleft deformity and he was also very worried for her treatment and then someone told him about the smile train project at Amandeep hospital where all patients with such deformity are treated free of cost. Jimeet showed the photograph of her daughter at birth and called Prakriti, Indersingh could not believe his eyes when he saw normal face of Prakriti. He was convinced but little bit hesistant to takeher daughter to the hospital. Jimeet advised him that he is going to visit Amandeep hospital for a followup of Prakriti and he can join him.

Indersingh came back and discussed all with Lata, and they both decided to visit Amandeep hospital before finally deciding for operation. When they reached Amandeep Hospital they saw many such cleft patients and their relatives. They discussed each and every aspect of the treatment of such children at Amandeep hospital under smile train project with the doctors and relatives of the patients. After that they had made their mind to get Mishthi operated at Amandeep hospital and braught mishthi very next week. Both the parents were delighted to see the face of Mishthi after the stitches were removed. Apprehension for Mishthi kept on fading as they saw the face of Mishthi after the surgery. They were thankful to the smile train project under which all the quality care was provided by Amandeep hospital was free of cost.
