This surgery is performed by a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with special training in microsurgery. Most commonly using microscope magnification.

When any part is cut, there should not be any delay in getting the patient to a specialised centre. The cut part has to be wrapped in a clean cloth and placed in plastic cover.
