What Are Anxiety Disorders?
Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) is characterised by free-floating anxiety that is not triggered by a specific event or situation. It’s like having butterflies in your stomach all day long, even when there’s nothing to be anxious about.
Symptoms of GAD include:
– Feeling constantly on edge and easily stressed out; feeling like you can’t relax or calm down
– Having trouble concentrating because of worrying thoughts running through your mind
– Being easily fatigued, experiencing sleep problems, or both
